Back and forth on whether to have someone video your wedding? Is it really worth the money? Or maybe you don’t like seeing yourself on video? You will have pictures anyway, right? Don't make this mistake; please read below.

“Do I really want a video of my wedding?”
Consider the importance of your wedding. Think of all your hard work to make it beautiful. Think of all the precious memories that will be happening. Realize how fast this day will go by and how too quickly memories fade. When you see your wedding movie and see your loved ones watching it, you will be so glad to have your special wedding memories on a DVD to treasure forever. Think of watching it with your spouse ten years from now. Think of your kids watching it twenty years from now. Think of family and friends who could not attend your wedding. Also, think of the parts that the Bride will not be able to see, flower girl and ring bearer attempting to get down the aisle, groom seating his mother, groomsmen entering, lighting of the unity candle. You will be able to relive your wedding, even the parts that you missed.

“Yes, but we will have pictures of it all…”
Sure, your pictures will be great and are an important wedding keepsake. However, with your photo album, will you be able to watch his facial expression change when he sees her in the back of the church? Will you be able to hear the music and sound of the guests standing to their feet? Will you hear the tenderness in your voice as you say your vows? Will you remember those heartfelt words of the best man’s toast?  And what it really was like to see your Uncle disco dancing to the YMCA song? With a wedding movie, you will be feel those emotions and watch those memories all over again.
“My Cousin said he would tape it for free.”
You may consider letting a friend or relative videoing it for you. As nice as it is for them to offer their services, you have to think about the final product you desire. Filming a wedding well is not as easy as it seems. There are many obstacles to overcome and there are no retakes. Your cousin, with no experience, one borrowed camera, one battery, cheap tripod, and no mics who pulls the tape out and hands it to you at the end, well again think about the final product. Do you want amateur video that you might watch once? Or, do you want a professional movie that you watch many times?
